Today we have a new President-elect and find ourselves at the beginning of a new chapter in our country’s history.
As Americans we have much more in common than what divides us. We all want health, happiness and opportunity for our friends and families - and we share fundamental beliefs in democracy, equality and freedom. As we move forward, holding these truths to be self-evident will help us heal and come together to address the many challenges ahead of us as a stronger and more unified nation.
Our shared humanity makes us resilient, and we need to listen to each other’s stories and keep learning about our history. As we embrace empathy and celebrate our differences, we can make a better country for every one of us.
The future is in all of our hands.
