“Yesterday I got to experience the unique Dutch Flower Parade with more than one million people from all over the world. 🌍 The „Bloemencorso Bollenstreek“ uses spring flowers like Hyacinths, daffodils and tulips to decorate the parade floats. 💐🤩 (Side note: This image is captured on a private farm. If you get inspired by this photo please be responsible in the areas by staying on the trail and always ask the farmers for permission!)” thanks @whereismella for tagging #TheTravelWomen

“This is a small temple at the foot of THE stairs which many people overlook. In fact, this last trip (I’ve been to Batu Caves several times whilst growing up in Malaysia) was the first attempt I made at going inside. The interior was just as colourful as the exterior. It was a nice reprieve from the heat and we were offered a packet of turmeric rice to eat (in the end, most of it was eaten by a brazen monkey outside) 🐒”

What are some myths or stereotypes you’ve heard about cruising? Here’s a #360 of me and @aliciatenise and 8 of the myths I thought were true before my first ever cruise with @celebritycruises #celebritysummit .
.
1. Seasickness: I have a sensitive stomach and was worried about this one but I was totally fine! One of the crew joked his coworker always gets seasick on cruises every weekend ... after a certain number of shots! .
.
2. Bored: Some worry that there will be nothing to do on a cruise but I actually found myself with too many options and not enough time to do and see it all!
.
.
3. Tacky design: @celebritycruises new #celebrityrevolution has made the Celebrity Summit and other ships look brand new with clean modern designs.
.
.
4. Claustrophobic: I was worried the ship would feel like an even smaller NYC apartment than I’ve seen and lived in myself, but each room was very sizeable and didn’t feel too tight! .
.
5. Budget: some worry cruises are not budget-friendly, and though I do splurge sometimes a little bit for special occasions, the best part of a cruise is packages often includes food, drinks and your bed so you don’t have to get hotels at each new place and can cover a lot of ground or sea rather! .
.
6. No privacy: I was worried there would be no down time and there would always be people everywhere, but there are so many places that were surprisingly empty like the basketball court and restaurants at off peak times. .
.

7. Crowded: My favorite quiet time on the ship was sunrise when the entire lido deck was empty!
.
.
8. Only for older couples or families: There were actually so many different people of all ages and I met some great new friends onboard.

11 Reasons I loved cruising on the newly modernized Celebrity Summit #celebrityrevolution:
1. Stereotypically cruise decor can unfortunately to be tacky or stuffy, but the new designs are lighter, with luxurious marble details and staterooms feel more like a boutique luxury hotel. (@kellyhoppen, do you design small Brooklyn apartments?!) .
.
2. I got to meet and see again some amazingly talented ladies I love @foreverchasingwanderlust @aliciatenise @readysetjetset @trustedtravelgirl @roamaroo and @stephbetravel .
.
3. I loved that this ship partnered with @abtofficial to provide a show and teach us a ballet class on board! .
.
4. The food! There is a new partnership with @danielboulud. Every meal was so fresh and well presented! One of my favorite meals, even though I over ate so many courses I lost track, was at the Qsine restaurant, where they even bought out double steak and whatever we asked for! .
.
5. The service! My stateroom attendant, Eddy, was so friendly and kind sharing more about the ship with me and answering all my questions.
.
6. The lovely redesigned spa! .
.
7. The Retreat sundeck and hot tub for suite guests was one of my favorite peaceful spaces! .
.
8. New open concept Oceanview cafe, where I ate breakfast and lunch outside in the back with ever changing views.
.
.
9. Learning how the French pastry chef hand makes every single chocolate truffle on board. It’s a complicated process they heat up the chocolate at 3 different temperatures before pouring it into the mold! .
.
10. Eating all the chocolates of course!
.
.
11. All the mirrors! Some hotel rooms only have one badly lit mirror in the bathroom but in this ships newly renovated staterooms there were 3 well lit mirrors, one in the bathroom, one at the desk great for doing your hair and one full length mirror behind the closet door, super helpful! .
.
Staying on the #celebritysummit exceeded my expectations! Have you ever taken a cruise before? What stereotypes or reservations do you have against cruising? #TheTravelWomen #ad
