We appreciate you all!
Repost from @kirstie_ennis
I found myself in prosthetics at the VA hospital today to address a circulation issue in my leg. In the process, a prosthetist and a nurse practitioner wrote a referral for radiology. The radiologists and techs found a 2 cm mass in my amputated side during an arterial scan. After mapping out what’s next, I started the 90 mile drive home passing dozens of truckers and police. As I made it into my town, I swung by the post office to drop off a few things for my nonprofit, then stopped in the grocery store. When I got home, I got a phone call from my doctor. Moral of the story? There’s still so many individuals out there making sure the public is taken care of — don’t take them for granted. Today made this #DIYthankyou
project that much more meaningful. I was happy to be apart of this @loweshomeimprovement
initiative — but with the realizations from this afternoon, I am even more appreciative of our #frontlineheroes
that are still making our world go round. Thank you to those who continue to wake up every day to keep us healthy and safe, and to those helping us establish our new sense of normal. #buildthanks @buildinghomesforheroes
