And look at that: you kicked ass Monday’s ass ✔️ That’s how we should be looking at it, right? Let me be straight up honest, I always have hated Monday’s. I like sleep. I never want weekends to end. Today was no exception to that. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My weekend was super active (which of course was awesome). I was busy playing disc golf, walking, and enjoying the sunshine. I also had a weekend of feeling sick, and not being able to breathe with my allergies kicking in full speed. Monday morning rolls around, and I sleep through my alarm. Normally my body wakes me up (or my cat yelling to feed her). My upper body is sore, and I literally just want to stay curled in bed. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m super disappointed in myself because my Monday is already off to a drab start. But you know what? I went to work, came home, and still completed my work out for the day. I still drank as much water as I could. I still pushed myself despite those sore muscles.
And you know what? I actually feel accomplished. Was it the Monday start I wanted to have? No, but it was still a Monday where I accomplished a big goal.
Baby steps. I’m new to the fitness world, but sometimes you got to put things in perspective. I’m not going to get anywhere putting off a work out till tomorrow, or next Monday. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here’s to crushing Monday’s! 💪🏻👊🏻
