Playing with ways to manipulate my body using various stimulus. Over the past week or so I’ve been doing 3-5 minute cold showers. Today I took a 4 minute cold shower and it registered as an “activity” on my Whoop. This means my heart rate was elevated to an aerobic state and had to work to get back to homeostasis. For 4 minutes of soaking I increased calorie expenditure, stimulated my valgus nerve and shook off the afternoon slump! Continuing to learn... .

Es gibt ganz viele Gründe warum KÄLTE gesund und wichtig ist für unseren Körper. Einige Gründe dafür wären, dass Kälte dir dabei hilft deine Konzentration und deinen Fokus innerlich zu steigern und ist darüber hinaus ein gesunder Reiz für deinen Körper. •⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Kälte wirkt zudem stark anregend auf das vegetative Nervensystem und aktiviert dadurch deinen Parasympathikus.
•⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Dieser ist im Körper für Regeneration, Erholung und Entspannung verantwortlich, weshalb z.B. auch der Wim Hof Methode (mit der ich mich auf die Kältetherapie vorbereite) eine antidepressive Wirkung zugesagt wird.

Aktuell hast du die Möglichkeit einen sanften Einstieg zu starten. Warum? Aktuell liegen unsere Seen bei gerade mal 15-16 Grad und werden jetzt immer wärmer. Gebirgsseen sind da aktuell schon noch kälter und liegen bei 9-10 Grad. A time lapse video to start the morning. I had a best friend text me this morning. This text set the tone for the day in so many ways than one.
“Keep your head up today dawg. Today is only you and your personal growth that’s it! Don’t let any outside voices come between you and your goals 💙 and I too will practice what I preach” 
Being vulnerable with people can be hard but worth it. You do have to know who you are opening up to because once that door is open, it’s open. 
I’m glad to have met you brotha. Cheers to a lifetime of these kinda texts and talks ❤️🧊🔥💥

One of the best habits I have incorporated is my morning cold shower.⁠
⁠
Having studied Wim Hof and his breathing technique I was fascinated by his adventures in the cold and have really felt the benefit in my life.⁠
⁠
Every morning, I wake up, take a poop 💩 and then hop in the shower.  I start hot for about 1-2 minutes and then finish with a minimum of 60 seconds as cold as I can get it.⁠
⁠
At first this was a huge struggle, to the point that I hated it and made excuses not to do it, now I look forward to it.⁠
⁠
It's a morning challenge.⁠
⁠
I know that if I can do this, I can do anything that comes at me that day.⁠
⁠
It helps wake me up.⁠
⁠
It gets my mind right.⁠
⁠
It makes me feel like my day is starting off properly.⁠
⁠
I encourage you to give it a try, here's a way to develop the habit.⁠
⁠
Start with a hot shower and for the first five days, finish with 15 seconds cold.  Add 15 seconds every five days, so days 6-10 you'll do 30 seconds, 11-15 will be 45 seconds and by day 16 you are at a minute without even realizing it.⁠

Para mi, tiempo de desconexión de lo exterior para disfrutar de mi misma. De cultivar mi relación conmigo, de divertirme sola, de reírme de mis pensamientos, de investigar, frikear, cruzar conceptos y dejarme asombrar por las nuevas ideas que descubro.📚🤯🌟💫🤩 La transformación es evidente y salgo con ganas de descubrir🐚 la evolución que esta ocurriendo.

Después de meses dejando de lado mis proyectos e invirtiendo el 100% de mi tiempo en mi, vuelvo recargada de energía y entusiasmo.

Habrá cosas nuevas: por ejemplo, que todo irá en español; retiros con colaboraciones muy interesantes🦄, ideas de cursos de respiración de 10 semanas (comenta si te interesa)🌬, la visión de crear una academia de Anatomía y fisiología para profesores de yoga🦵... Pero también lo de siempre, clases de yoga🤸‍♂️ y talleres de fundamentos del método #WimHof ❄️. Durante las próximas semanas iré publicando todos los proyectos que se han incubado durante este tiempo.

Efter døgnvagt kommer jeg hjem til morgen til dette syn. Mit isbad i haven 🙌 13 liter is er på frys til nedkøling af bassin. I dag var der 14 grader uden is. Eu consigo criar uma resistência com uma toalha ( toalha normal) 
Eu me sentei no chão (dobrei a toalha para ela não rasgar) .

Quem vai dar resistência na puxada vai ser o meu pé sustentando.
Tem três maneiras de contração muscular (concêntrica e excêntrica e isométrica)
Eu  usei esses três tipos de contração para conseguir sentir bem as costas.

1°=Remada usado a perna *força concêntrica*- (10 repetições com cada perna) 
Quem vai dar resistência é a perna. Eu trouxe meus ombros bem para frente da perna para fazer a força e puxar (contração concêntrica) e alivio para voltar.  Troquei a perna. .

2°=Puxada deitada- 
Fazendo força para fora e vou puxar a toalha e trazer ela até bater no meu peito.
15 repetições =>não encostei o braço no chão

3°=Remada usando a perna *força excêntrica*-(10 repetições com cada perna)
 A minha perna vai empurrar,  ao contrário do primeiro exercício, aqui usei a força excêntrica. Costas bem contraídas.
 Troquei a perna

4° Puxada deitada unilateral-
A diferença para o 2° exercício é que esse é cada hora um braço
20 repetições =>não encostei o braço no chão
.

5°= Isometria- Colocar os dois pésna toalha, alinhar e estabilizar a coluna ereta, isométria fiz a adução das escápulas
Ficar 30 segundos na negativa (fazendo força)

6°= Super-man-
20 repetições

Descansei 1min 
Repeti por 3X essa sequência

I’ve just clocked up the furthest run I’ve done in years and want to share how I got here because the change has been fast and significant. I have to share this to hopefully motivate someone to get running again or start. 
Being able to run over 11km in one go was a 10 week process for me that all started from buying a 10 quid balance board from Decathlon. Before the BB, after every run in the last several years I’ve had to take at least 2/3 days or more off before I could run again. That pretty much made me stop running all together & assume that my running days were over. But since using the BB every day for only couple of minutes, I’ve strengthened my feet, ankles, lower legs & core enough that all the aches have gone & now I run everyday. I’ve always worked out & used the gym & wrongly assumed that my feet & lower legs were getting the ancillary benefits from squats, jumps, calf raises etc but I still had the aches after runs so I clearly wasn’t sufficiently targeting the weakest areas. Also as a modern human I spend most of my days with bad posture sat down & with bad shoes. Humans are evolved to run but it’s modern living & not re-learning correct biomechanics that cause the pain & injury running can inflict. So, I’m just saying if you’re interested in running or had trouble with running in the past, want to get fit again, or want the mind clarification benefits you get from cardio & are interested in long term health, then absolutely build strength from the ground up first. The BB is so easy to use & you can use it whilst watching Netflix or brushing your teeth. 10 days of 3 mins a day BB training prior to a running routine will change the running experience big time & has for me at least a massive game changer. My top tips for 2020 are buy a BB, focus on running with your hips forward & high heels at the back, try a vegan diet for the proven anti-inflammatory & general health benefits to speed up recovery. I’ve seen it, I’m doing it & it works.

Die Fitnessstudios haben wieder geöffnet! Nun ist es an der Zeit wieder die Kurve zu kriegen. Der trödelige Corona-Alltag hat nun ein Ende! Einerseits freue ich mich wieder Menschen um mich zu haben! We’ve all been guilty of reaching for junk food and overdosing on Netflix during lockdown. So @iceman_hof (the living legend) has introduced the Wim Hof fasting Challenge. Every Monday for 24 hours consume only water and fruit teas. The benefits are huge. Because it’s not a great idea to do loads of cardio or power yoga during a fast today I have done a seated stretch and supine twist sequence. That also encourages the body to detoxify getting the maximum benefits from the fast! I’ve been practicing the Wim Hof Method for almost 20 months and I haven’t looked back! Wim himself introduced the Wim Hof Fasting Challenge during the COVID crisis as a health measure and to break the cycle of Netflix and junk food, he recommends we fast for 24 hours every Monday. 
Fasting helps boost metabolism, control blood sugar, fights inflammation, improves blood pressure as well as many other benefits! However, it’s not great to do extreme exercise during fasting so today I have done four rounds of WHM breath-work, taken a cold shower, and spent an hour doing seated yoga stretches and supine twists. The twists are really beneficial for detoxifying so works in perfect unison with the Monday fast.
