Nothing like a little 53 degree swing in the temperature to make cookie decorating fun!
Icing changes with temperature and humidity. All of the weather changes can really make a cookie decorator think twice about her vocation.
Humidity changes the weight of flour, which is why so many bakers weigh ingredients out instead of using cups.
When someone asks for my recipes, I always think, sure, I could rattle it off by grams, but I'm also using a 20 quart mixer and make 15 pounds of dough at a crack! 😂

Screw you weather!! I got out of the shower and put on a dress for the first time in a long while, and then walk out of the bathroom to discover it's peeing it down with rain!! Thanks! On a plus side, I bought this dress from a stall at Spirit of the Marsh festival, and it fits lovely and looks loads better than I thought it would 😂🤣 #britishsummer#boilingbutraining#heatandrain#wetsummer#imwearingadress
Mt.Harvey (10a 10p) -- Howe Sound Pt.1
A man once said “Any wanker can climb in ideal conditions” — This was not that, but it was also not the worst. Just extremely wet and foggy. It made for a much deserved summit and a great feeling of accomplishment. A long 15.5hr day with decent breaks but mostly contemplating on wether to bail or not and just forging forward with some aid and one too many rappels 🥴. 🤙🏻
Pic3: Getting into easier terrain on the Crux pitch. Soaking wet. Staring into the foggy abyss wondering if we’re on route and I catch a glimpse of some blue webbing left behind. A new micro goal. Make it to that webbing and re-assess. 📸: @kurtiswinder cleaning the pitch. I forced him to take a photo for memory sake. Neither of us wanted to hangout there too long
