I have been watching this count down clock for the past week, well I glance at it when I log into my team page to log my swims each morning, to say the least.
I can't lie, the thought entertains me a bit. I find myself wondering, not if I could possibly make the olympic trials and qualify for the olympics. But, more so, the thought of, if I gave my self permission to see how close I could possibly get to those qualifying times, how close could I possibly get.
The journey is the most important part right? Anything extra is just a bonus... I am more interested in learning more about myself, than I am of winning a gold medal. I am interested in the people I may meet and build relationships with along the way, the young and old souls I may inspire as I push forward day by day, attempting to just get one second closer to those times! Day one to a years journey, I could say is today. However, I won't say it, but it is a strong desire to look at this clock each day and let my story be written for each days past that I did give myself permission and gave it my all to seeing how close I can possibly get😊. Hopefully, this isn't just a midlife crisis at age 30😂😂😂. #swimming #usms #mastersswimming #olympics2020
