Training is hard. Training is tiring. Some days I find it tough to muster up the 🔥to go do it. Sometimes (most days, just to varying degrees) my head hurts, my shoulders and neck hurt from the stress I carry around. And other days, I literally can’t wait to run up stairs—-because pushing myself to the limits of complete exhaustion is rewarding and -my- kind of mindfulness 🤷🏼‍♀️ Sick, I know. But my fellow #stairrunners will agree!!! This ⬆️ is often how I look when I’m pushing to really get a sense of where my timing is at for my next #stairclimb. It ain’t (usually) pretty. But life isn’t always either. If you can’t beat it, join it?!? For me, that helps me feel like I’m the one that comes out on top. 💪🏻 .

2nd run of the day. I really enjoyed this 5 miles as part of my training am increasing mileage. Seeing how my legs felt after the 10k this morning I was pleasantly surprised how they felt. Pushing your limits and adding extra challenges in your training adds confidence that you can achieve more than your mind thinks you can #lovetorun❤️ #thebodyworkcoach #mindset #determination #trainhard

We see massive effect size with certain populations such as adolescents, post stroke, elderly, people with Parkinson's to name a few. Also your typical motor moron who just can't seem to remember your coaching cues. What questions do you have about the SquatgGuide or squat form in general? Here's a quick way to ensure proper squat performance in your athlete, client or patient. Give them an easy to remember check list.
1. Strong arched foot with heels down to prevent pronation and external rotation of the foot
2. Knees moving towards outside of stance to minimize lever arm of femur and create space for hip joint
3. Maintain a slight inward curve at lower back with core engaged to prevent both hyperextension and a butt tuck. 
We've found these 3 checks to be a great start to developing a great squat pattern. #movelikethis #squatform #athleticdevelopment #movewell #fundamentals #squat

Battle against oldness: nothing has helped improve my unilateral leg strength, ankle dorsiflexion and rotational core strength like these loaded pistol squats from a plyo box over the past year. I've been able to load these heavier than a pistol squat on the floor as I can keep a more neutral spine since my free leg doesn't have to be lifted to a horizontal position (I have pretty restricted hamstring mobility). Worked up to 5 sets of 5 reps east leg with a 53lb kettlebell. #battleagainstoldness #crossfit #worksmarter #movelikethis #pistolsquats
