32 years ago today issue 136 of #TransformersUK
brought a fight young fans had been clamouring for. As an adult it’s not a patch on the epic #Dinobots
vs Trypticon battle we’ve had already, but for readers of the day it must’ve been a riot! It’s a throwaway tale, but a hugely enjoyable throwaway. Jeff Anderson and Stephen Baskerville together are a perfect blend and just when you think it’s an action romp through-and-through, it surprises us with a great character moment between #Grimlock
On the former’s letters page another reader wants to share some of the @jeffandersonart
love and then in the back up strip, Head Masters: Broken Glass, comes a scene seared into my memory. Long-time blog readers will know I only read the issues before 192 (where I started as a teen) about 12 years ago, but the creation of the Nebulan #Autobots
has stayed with me.
Why? First, the rather handy positioning of the conversion equipment 😂 then the explanation of the process. It all sounds bloody painful! But when you think about it, of course their joints would have to be replaced; we can’t bend like that! Bloody ouch!!
