Ten years ago this week, Cri and I booked our first flights to Alaska with change we’d been saving since Middle School.
In the weeks leading up to the trip, I was equal parts nervous and excited; I’d never slept in the woods or done any backpacking before.
Near the end of the trip, I remember having a vivid moment on Deer Mountain in Ketchikan where I was like, “Yup, this is exactly what I want to be doing.”
Fast forward a decade and I have that same feeling about this upcoming trip west. If you’re lucky enough to find something that sets you on fire, you owe it to yourself to follow that feeling.
