Snowed in at the bottom of a canyon with no cell service. That’s where we’ve been for the past 36 hours. And it was actually pretty fantastic. Well, it’s never great when you rely on having internet for work purposes, but just one day with no ability to check emails, take a phone call, or do the social media “scroll” was refreshing. +
We ate terribly unhealthy food combinations, played Cribbage, read books, took naps, watched DVDs, stuck snowflakes on the windows and threw in a couple mini-dance parties for good measure. While we do really need to get out of the cold weather for the camper’s sake, it made us realize yet again how reliant our lives (even now) still are on technology. Maybe we’ll be planning more days where we pretend we have no service in the near future...
