All the craze around Keto has been the biggest fad I’ve seen so much of in the fitness industry.
Ladies, I got some harsh facts for you ...... keto will make you GAIN weight!
I’m going to expect to have some haters because of this post and others might actually listen to what I have to say.
Regardless of where you stand ..... I don’t really care 🙅🏼♀️ because I’ve spent over 10 years figuring out what works and what doesn’t.
SO, you can either take it or leave it!
Now, I want you to imagine your life without ever having another piece of pizza or doughnut EVER again. Christmas dinner rolls around and out comes the stuffing and mashed potatoes.
STOP 🛑 remember that thing called keto you’re following ....... well last time I checked that is essentially what Keto is. It’s a protein fat diet where you no longer get to have your cake and “eat it too”
What kind of life is that?
For some people they may have seen incredible results and lost a ton of weight BUT what happens when your 12 week program ends? OR you get a little sum sum you’ve been craving for awhile and wind up binging down carb lane..... “can’t stop, won’t stop”
You’re not only where you were when you started BUT you’re also MORE overweight then when you started keto. 😭
If you’ve been cutting carbs out of your diet because “they make you fat” you need to realize it’s NOT a carb problem, it’s a surplus of calories you’re consuming.
You can still keep carbs in your diet AND lose weight. Carbs high in starch speed up your metabolism and your body’s other natural fat burners. As starch moves though your digestive system, it releases fatty acids that encourage fat burning, especially in your belly.
So, if you’ve been depriving yourself of your favourite foods, it’s time to spend more time focusing on WHAT portions your body needs vs eliminating foods it actually needs.
