I was craving homemade french fries and didn't even realize it was National French Fry Day lol. I made basil parmesan salt and pepper fries. So crispy and delicious! Making your own french fries at home can be a lot healthier because you control the ingredients and how they are cooked. Choosing to bake your fries instead of frying or using a paper towel to place your fried french fties can cut back on how greasy it can be. I've always believed having comfort foods are okay if its done right and eaten every now and then. It's better to give into a craving and eat in moderation than it is to binge on a lot of unhealthy foods. It's all about balance.
