OMG. What. A. Day!!!!!!
Went 8/9 for my lifts, still managed PBs on all 3, and added 7.5kg to my total! Best 3 lifts posted:
130kg Squat! Yes I did it!! In real life, just like I had done it a million times this week in my head!
75kg Bench! A proper paused comp press, achieving this today was magic. Anyone who asked was told I’ll be happy if I hit the 70kg, but that moved so well I knew straight away I wanted the 75kg! And as soon as the bar landed on my chest I knew I had it!!
122.5kg Deadlift! This was my second attempt for the day, after nailing 115kg for my first. It was not easy! It was still a 2.5kg PB and I’m stoked about that. Wanted 130kg but after the grind getting the 122.5kg up, settled on 127.5kg. At the end of the day I’m not sure I would have even got a 125kg, I left absolutely everything on the platform, even my biggest smile despite the red lights!!
I come away from today with nothing but positive energy. Thank you first of all to @onemorerep
for your coaching, friendship, reassurance and support. I am so glad I came to see you for a bit of advice on my technique 6 months ago, look where it’s led! No going back now! Thanks to everyone who came along to shout at me and cheer me on, I heard you all. Just hearing people call my name was such a boost, it meant a lot. And thanks to the spotters, loaders, refs and @ptcsouthmelbourne
for running the day, it has definitely confirmed to me that this is my sport 😃💪
