The secrecy Ingredient for my collaboration today was 🍓 and y’all know how much I love my mitha shitha ♥️ 20 oz of strawberries
Juice of 1/2 a lemon
1/2 tsp of salt
1/2 a cup of granulated white sugar
1 tsp of lemon zest
1 tsp of vanilla
Mix ingredients and set aside for at least 30 mins. Set oven to 350°
For the topping
3/4th cup of oats
1/2 a cup of flour
1/2 a cup of brown sugar
1/4th of a cup of white granulated sugar
A pinch of salt
A pinch of nutmeg
1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon or more if you’d like
1/2 a cup of unsalted cold butter cut into cubes
Mix all these ingredients together to make a crumble.
Butter a 2 qt oven safe dish. Pour the strawberry mixture with or without its juices, it’s entirely up to you how you like your crisp. Pour the topping over the berries. Bake for about 45 mins to an hour till the fruit mixture is bubbly and the top is golden brown. Serve with vanilla ice cream or vanilla whipped cream.
Variations: You can absolutely add more berries like blueberries, raspberries, blackberries to this too. You can also add chopped hazelnuts, and almonds to the crumble for more texture.
