Train hard. Rest Hard.
Do you plan your rest? Do you put the things in place you need to succeed on a rest day the same way you would for an epic training session?
I have just started to do this, before I rested (AKA did nothing, probably got bored and over ate or ended up training) when I HAD to.
Now, I'm getting things ready for a rest or recovery day the same as I would getting my bike and riding gear ready the right before a big ride or prepping equipment, food and plans for a big training day. Meals planned, alarm set and activities arranged as well as little things like making sure the Switch is charged so the battery doesn't die while I'm slaying the hordes of hell on Diablo thus pissing me off.
Anyways, all I'm saying is put as much effort into your rest and recovery as you do everything else because it's worth it. Or don't, whatevs.
