Both of these are 6139-6010’s but I find they provide very different looks... the blue dial might be my favourite, but the black Speedtimer is awesome in its own way. These 601X’s seem to still sell for a reasonable price and in my opinion represent fantastic value for money.
With all the incomings recently, I’ve developed a backlog with a few really nice watches stuck in the box because they require service. This one is high up in the remaining queue and I hope to ship it off to @ashtontracyhorologist by year’s end. I love the blue dial and red hands combo and the somewhat unusual Thai date wheel is the icing on the cake. This particular example is from October ‘69 so just one month past it’s 50th birthday.
In the meantime, it’s still fun to have a look at it from time to time 🙂
I bought this one to be used as parts for an identical 6139-6010 that I own that’s in much nicer condition but needs servicing and has some damage to the tachy ring.
While I wait to get that one in for service, this one is turning out to be a fun and care-free daily wearer and nearly runs like a chronometer... you just never know 😂
