It’s taken me two years to begin creating a new body of work that I am happy to finally share. After graduating from University, I felt there was an increasing amount of pressure to get a full time job, whilst continuing to make work and exhibit. Although I’ve struggled to find the balance between sustaining my practice and working another job, I’m thankful for the space it’s given me to work on a project I’m really happy with. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The Plastic Bag
Blue vest carrier
500mm x 285mm
Nestle was named as one of the top plastic polluters, alongside Unilever... 🤔
Their huge empire of single-use plastic products include four different bottled water brands! 😶
@thebiogonation wants to be part of the solution, not the pollution. That’s why we only sell reusable products for a more circular mindset 🌏
If you live in an area where tap water is drinkable, please invest in a quality reusable today! 💦

Mein Lieblingsrezept: Auf 1 Ei, 100 ml Milch, 100 gr Mehl, 50 gr Zucker, 50 gr Butter, etwas Backpulver. Klingt gesund, nicht ;) #food#homemade#foodporn#saynotosingleuseplastic#plasticfreejuly#plasticfreejuly2019
It’s raspberry season!!🌞Did you know that there’s more to love than just the berries??🙋🏽♀️Tea made from raspberry leaves is high in minerals such as calcium, and also helps tone the uterus! Yes, plz! 🍵
I have just discovered that @saltwaterbrewery use biodegradable six-pack rings! 🍺🙌🏼
They use barley and wheat remnants which are left over from the brewing process, also helping to reduce their waste ♻️🌾
Oh, and if that wasn’t enough, they can also be safely eaten by animals that may find them on their travels! 🐡🐙🐳
None of us will be exempted from plastics in our food. Like we have said before, the same plastic we buy ,use and then throw away WILL end up in the rivers/lakes/oceans and end up in all kinds of sea foods. Even the water we consume, has micro-plastic and we are only yet to find its harmful effects on humans.
It’s really this simple. Humans, as selfish as we are have polluted our own home to this extent, shouldn’t we be selfish in the same way and save it because we will be doing it for ourselves anyway?
Met the lovely @_jess_french at @latitudefest yesterday.
She was talking about the life of a plastic water bottle and the insanity of the whole process of making one effectively taking millions of years (including the time taken for oil to be created in the ground) only for the damn thing to be used for about 20 minutes before being thrown away!
Get a reusable bottle people - tap water is free!
She has written a new book called What a Waste all about rubbish, recycling, pollution etc, with lots of ideas for how we can reduce our impact on the planet. ♻️ Reduce, Reuse, Recycle in that order.
Loved that my girls were able to share their knowledge of how to reduce single-use plastics and were keen to tell her all about @cupboardlovehome 💗
They also made these cool bags out of old T-shirts!
Thanks @_jess_french - keep up your brilliant work 😀
More rubbish collections at Coast watchers skate park.
Did you know that Night Owl, Trinity Beach allow you to bring in your reusable cup & straw for slushies?
That’s one less cup & straw going to landfill. 😀👍

For those wondering why I have been a little quiet 🤫
As you might know I co-founded @ZustainaBox to help consumers switch to a more sustainable lifestyle by replacing their goods and products step by step. 🤔
This is our first year and so far it is really going well, but as with all businesses you have to invest a lot of time to get it off the ground. 🚀
This short clip shows us packing the boxes ourselves, which was fun to do, but also took quite a while. ⏳
Hopefully next time the amount of packages is too big to pack them ourselves. 📦
We already have a partner lined up to help us, they are a social workplace and employee people that have a hard time finding a job for example due to a handicap. 💫
Since it is Monday and we are discussing business, what are your plans for today?
Happy Monday beautiful people!
Hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend.
We had a busy one in our house, our eldest turned 5! Where has that time gone?
So, birthdays tend to mean presents and along with that, loads of waste.
I used to spend ages beautifully wrapping presents in pretty paper, with coordinating ribbon and a lovely tab. All for it to be ripped up as soon as the present was given.
At least it looked good?
My challenge this year was to try and use waste free/recyclable/reusable alternatives.
So I decided to use some pretty fabric that I had and make them into gift bags. Super simple draw string bags, made in different sizes and with exciting fabric that I can reuse over and over again.
I did run out of fabric so I also used some paper that had padded out a parcel and I drew some pretty rainbows on and tied it with a string.
And my boy loved them! He’s keeping one of the bags for his own use and the rest will be reused for future celebrations.
Hoping to make a bunch of these for Christmas, going to search through some charity shops for pretty fabric or scarves!
Hope you all have a lovely day!
