- The Snow Returns!
Throughout my twenties I had always dreamt of ‘doing a season’. Heading to one resort and skiing from December till May. Having already spent four weeks in @whistlerblackcomb
, across two different trips, I knew I loved this area and was confident it would provide the perfect setting to scratch this itch. It mattered little that I waited until I was thirty, I would soon be surrounded by an amazing ragtag group of like-minded souls. You need a great crew to make great memories, and during the 13/14 @alltracksacademy
season, we lucked out! Most of us are still in touch, still creating new snowy memories year after year, and will likely do so for as long as we're able.
However, where we weren’t so lucky was the bitter cold and dry spell we endured during January. Great for us working on our technique, training to become qualified ski instructors… enjoying epic après sessions… but we were starved of the legendary powder snow Canada was famous. We had to wait a long time, but on February 10th, the snow started falling, and it barely stopped that season. Boy was our patience rewarded. Here we are on this very morning… just look how happy we are. Turns out there ARE friends on a powder day!
Solo skiing is fun, but the experience improves exponentially with a good gang! I’m lucky enough to have many of them ⛷🇨🇦❄️🍻 #AprilChallenge #Whistler #WhistlerBlackcomb #AlltracksAcademy #skiphotos #skiphotography #pow #powday #Skisolation #powsmiles
