Coco says "why did you wake me, I dont want to dog today"
Cocos visits are a little different to most of my dog visits, as she is 14 years young, so I'm going to tell you a little about them.
Coco doesn't always want to go outside, which is fine. So we put down puppy pads by the back door and her feeding area. So on a morning, i open the back door and I check the puppy pads and replace them if they're mucky. I then fill up her water bowls and food.
Cocos eyes and ears need cleaning at least once a day, so I wet some soft paper towel with warm water and wipe her eyes and dry.
I then fill a small bowl with warm water and put a drop of tea tree oil in, and I gently clean around her ear canal with cotton buds, making sure to not go inside the ear canal. I then clean around her ear with a wet paper towel, and dry thoroughly. Coco gets treats throughout this process.
Sometimes she will then go for a potter about outside, and sometimes we sit inside and cuddle. All waste is put in a poo bag, or bin liner if all the pads need changing and they go in the outdoor bin.
Afternoon visits are very similar, but I mix some wet food in with her biscuits to encourage her to eat a little more, which she loves and she will then lick her bowl clean!
Coco is a beautiful, sweet girl and she deserves that extra bit of care and love, as do all the dogs in my care.
