Spain continues to captivate our #WomensMission
, and the city of #Toledo
provided a look at the rich history and culture of Jewish Spain. The ladies visited Toledo’s impressive “Old Town,” including Santa Maria la Blanca and El Transito synagogues, the latter of which was constructed between 1355 and 1357.
The evening provided the group with some updates from Mario Izovich, JCD Director of Pan-European Programs. He discussed the rising nationalism in Europe and the fears its invoking across the globe. The JDC works hand-in-hand with communities around the world, empowering them and helping to care for their most vulnerable. They work to build new generations of leaders capable of taking on tomorrow’s challenges and shaping the future of Jewish life.
That’s all for today …
