13 years ago today, my best friend went on a run with his older brother when he was hit and killed by a vehicle. He was just 15. I remember sitting right here and grieving for the friend I lost, the family he left behind, the life he was never going to live. Today, I still feel sadness, but instead focus on what I've learned since the tragedy. I developed a lifelong friendship with his brother I could not be more grateful for, and figured out what was important to me in life which was to be happy, be good, and do good. None of us are promised tomorrow, but I hope that in any event, we can all say we were the best possible person we could have been leading up to it. Be humble. Be kind. ❤ RIP A.J.
