The Bride. On this occasion, Me.

Now we have all of the photographs from our wedding back, I thought I’d share them all with you. So this week you are in for a treat. Everyday this week I’m posting about a different element of the wedding, and today it’s all about me...

My dad will be quite impressed that I started the scroll of three images with his nicely defined back! And I’d love to say I posted it first because of that. But I’m afraid I actually posted it first because it’s the photograph that makes me laugh the most. Which is because of that I suppose, so maybe I did! I remember laughing at him then too, when he stripped down after getting too hot doing my dress up, and telling him that cameras were all around him. He chuckled about looking too good to care. Sounds cocky, but looking at this photograph it’s definitely true.

I’d love to remember what I was thinking in this second photo. But I quite simply have no idea. This was just seconds before we left the room to walk down the stairs and over the lawns towards the chapel. I remember feeling the most calm at this point. I was ready to go and get married.

Things were such a mess in the room I decided to give it a little tidy up. And in the process found my earrings and decided to pop them in. This little moment, captured to perfection is one of my favourite photos from the entire collection. It was my moment of calm. My moment to really stare at how beautiful everyone had made me look. I smiled at myself so many times that day. I was happy from head to toe, and inside to out.
