So I post on this account mainly about RP, my dad, & my marathon training journey; but I really want to introduce you guys to the man who’s constantly motivating me & cheering me on, the man who’s often behind the camera taking the photos - my man, my husband & #1
If it wasn’t for Shaun believing in me & gently pushing me to try for more, I doubt that I’d have ever run in a 10km event - let alone a half or full mara!🙈
🏃🏽Shaun’s been active & fit for most of his life. Unlike me, he’s already run a full marathon (with a full-on knee injury, yet he pushed through to the very end despite it slowing him down massively..his knee was double its normal size by the time he finished the race!😣). .
🔨There’s not much Shaun can’t do, & I’m not just saying that because he’s my husband.
Over the years I have watched him as he’s ‘tried’ new things constantly only to totally excel in them. He applies himself, he uses smart logic but also puts loads of heart into everything he does; he has the best work ethic & doesn’t really believe in limitations in his own life, as when he’s faced with a barrier he just climbs or sledgehammers that wall until it’s behind him.🪓When I try to fix something, if I don’t get it first go I throw it on the ground & give up,🤷🏽♀️but not Shaun.. 👷🏼♂️he will try at that thing until he gets it - even if it takes him hours, days, & at times - weeks.🙈
🖤I love all of this about him. I love his strength of character & morals, & I love how that strength in him empowers me to also rise to the next level (except when it comes to fixing things!😂).
🖤Shaun is funny, incredibly smart, creative, compassionate, loving, strong, brave, honest, loyal, & good. I wouldn’t be where I am today without him by my side, & words can never describe my gratitude or my love for him.🖤
