*The story of flyers
So some of you already know of this wild and awesome looking buck I shot last year on November 4th, but for those of you that don’t here is a little rundown! At approximately 5:00 in the evening I heard a grunt, looked to my right he stood about 60 yards away, which I knew he was probably going show up having pictures of him throughout the previous evening and night. He started chasing a doe around then eventually I had an opportunity at 35 yards and took it! I hit him just slightly back, but knew it was a lethal shot. I waited awhile then tracked him some that night just to see how the blood trail was, My dad and I then decided to head out and come back the next morning for recovery. Unfortunately it had rained all night and therefore we lost all blood, and sign of direction where he had went, not only that it was very brushy making it even tougher. I continued to look multiple days after and just no luck... Until just a couple weeks ago I got notified from a good buddy that remembered what flyers had looked like, he sent me a picture of the skull, I was in shock!! I eventually found out flyers was discovered in the spring by Travis Journey and John Burton I contacted then and they were extremely respectful on the situation a huge shoutout to y’all!! I met with them last week to finally get my hands on flyers! Im truly blessed to get this deer back and this goes to show always have faith, because you never know what the outcome will be even if it’s almost a year later.
