How will your family remember YOU? Not what you did for them, but who YOU are as a woman.
I’ve had a lot of conversations with moms and when I ask them about why they want to work toward their fitness goals, a lot of the time the answer is “to be a good example to my family”.
This is absolutely a wonderful WHY, but I challenge you to dig deeper into YOU.
I believe that for a lot of moms the idea of self-sacrifice has been glamorized and prioritized over personal wants and desires to a point where we lose ourselves.
When I die, I want my family to remember ME, all of my flaws, imperfections, passions and quirks, AS WELL AS what I contributed to the world around me.
Maybe that sounds selfish, but I hope that by owning who I am, and living my life fully, that my family will be empowered to do the same.
I want to live my life so well that my daughters will completely embrace their own flaws, imperfections, passions, and quirks.
So at my funeral, I don’t want a sweet little picture of me in a turtleneck.
I want THIS. Me living life, feeling like a rock star, and ready to conquer the world.
What areas of your life are you ready to OWN again in order to leave a legacy?
