Rock 'n' Roll Vaudeville Circus 28th June McCormacks Naas.
Acclaimed Irish troubadour, Ross Breen first developed a finesse for songwriting growing
up in his hometown of Leixlip, County Kildare. A proclivity for illustrative lyricism and a
soulful, lilting voice has summoned comparisons to Glen Hansard, Tom Waits and Ben
Howard, among others, leading to the multi-instrumentalist becoming a household name.
With a songbook of impressive tracks such as When I Met The Devil, Idyllic Valley and
Monet already supplying the foundation to a catalogue of heartfelt musical memoirs, the
arrival of his second opus, New Born Vibrancy, was highly anticipated amongst the versatile
performer’s fanbase. A strident, ambitious alt folk-rock record with classic soul and blues
influences interwoven throughout, Breen also embraced lush string arrangements and
electronica elements for the new album, the release of which was celebrated with a sold-out
show at The New Theatre, Dublin in the summer of 2018.
Along with constant touring, Ross has previously linked up with organisations like Peter
McVerry Trust and Irish Deaf Society to collaborate on some accomplished video projects,
as well as continuing his work on Burra Din: A Christmas Record, slated for a full release in December 2019
