Day 28/80 is another hybrid day! I did a 2 mile tempo run on the treadmill followed by 2 rounds of core on my sliders and some with a resistance loop, phase 2 really changes it up! I still feel a little anxious (thank you OCD) on the days a veer off schedule, but I am working through that feeling and going for it anyway. I’m moving everyday, so I have to get some kind of result, right?! •
I’ve always been a relatively slow runner and I always (no matter how far I run) struggle through my first 2 miles. I find myself in my head and debating whether or not I can do it and usually feeling like my legs are going to die, mind you I’ve run waaaaay further then 2 miles plenty of times in my life so I know I can, but those negative thoughts are powerful! After the first 2 miles I settle out, find my pace, and get it done. I have a 10k coming up in April and I have a goal of finishing it in under an hour. That’s a big goal for me because like I said, I’m slow! Any tips for increasing pace? I’m doing tempo runs and this week will start incorporating more runs into my schedule to help with the conditioning but I would love to hear ways that you successfully increased your pace!
