Official: Eden Hazard out for 2 months.
Well what can I see. Fans were hyped for the new season as Eden Hazard was presented as a Real Madrid player handed the number 7 jersey which was once worn by the greatest Real Madrid player of all time Cristiano Ronaldo. Mariano was never the successor, Hazard was.
Hazard got injured even before the season even started. It was a big blow to Madridistas around the world. When he came back the results were disappointing, Hazard was overweight and was nothing like that Chelsea number 10. Although he showed signs of improvement, unlocking defenses with his dribbling, sublime passes, quick one-two's; it was all halted as he picked up an injury against PSG. Everyone was impatient of his return, it kept getting delayed and delayed. He did finally return in February. However, it was cut short as only in his second game Hazard got reinjured.
Now I want to talk about what we can do next. Madrid's golden period November-Janaury did come in Eden Hazard's absence. So maybe this is kind of a blessing in disguise. Vinicius is not functional on the right at all. Being on the left makes him comfortable and he can do incredible things with the ball at his feet. Bale on the other hand, it's his final chance at Madrid. Vazquez should be used as a right winger instead of Bale as he's been good since his return from injury. The key lies in Madrid's 5 midfielders. Isco is a player who will play an integral part in the remaining season. The Spaniard has been incredible in recent months and he will provide the creativity Real will missing out on during Hazard's time on the sidelines. Isco should partner up with Modric for this specific job. Fede and Casemiro are the workhorses and Kroos is the pivot. I would like to see more of Jovic in the upcoming games as he is the only pure striker. Jovic at his best is incredible and if he combines well with Benz defenders can only pray. Benzema is not a 9, in fact he's a 10 and dropping deep to link up with Isco, distracting defenders so that Jovic can make a run will be key. I have so much more to talk about. I will discuss this later in the preview against Man City.
