Hercules is a cooperative 2-year-old brown brindle and white male Pit Bull who was surrendered by his former owner to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on July 25th for unknown reasons. Weighing 72 lbs. Hercules is a sweetheart, very gentle and loving. On leash he is pretty good and responsive to his handler.
Sociability: Tolerant, Non- Reactive, Kennel Handling: Friendly / Easy to remove, Kids: Adults Only, Large Dogs OK, Small Dogs: Needs Assessment, Energy Level: Medium, Training: Basic Manners
Evaluation notes from 9/15:
Hercules greeted the handler with soft eyes, a neutral tail wag and a relaxed body. He tried to door dash as soon as the door opened and strongly pulled on leash. He played with the dogs before having his handling assessment. He was moved to the side yard. He explored the yard and ignored the handler. She grabbed the leash to bring him closer to her. He allowed her to pet him everywhere but he remained uninterested in her. He licked his lips when the handler grabbed his foot but did not move away or attempt to move his paw. Over all Hercules was tolerant of being pet. Behaviorally Ok for public adoption, Adult only home required, large dogs ok.
