Knitty has been a part of our crafting lives for ages, and we fully support their call for encouraging black designers to submit their patterns. Details in the original caption below:

The Tuesday post wasn’t specific enough, and I apologize for not being more clear. Instead of deleting (there are valuable comments on that post), let me be specific here: We want to encourage Black knitters and crocheters* to consider sending their work to Knitty. We also want to encourage every designer to consider having a Black person model your work, if you can make that happen (understanding the challenges the current pandemic creates). This request is in our Submission Guidelines, but as Black voices are widely being amplified by allies, we wanted to remind Black knitters and crocheters that we want to feature them. We will always want to feature good work. If you know someone who may have been hesitant or shy to submit a pattern, please encourage them. Our Submission Guidelines can be found by clicking on the Link in Profile on our profile page. *Crochet? YES. We are now ready to accept crocheted designs for publication. Starting with Deep Fall. The Submission Guidelines will be updated to reflect this ASAP.
Thank you. https://knitty.com/subguide.php #blackknittersofinstagram#blackcrochetersofinstagram#knittersofinstagram#crochetersofinstagram
Alright so with all the happenings in the world my outlet has been to make something. You can ask my family, I cannot just sit even in calm times. These are not calm times and change IS happening. Using my hands to make and generate donations is a small way to help support the mission of Black Lives Matter. 100% of the net proceeds from these tools will be donated to www.blacklivesmatter.com This will help the organization in the continued goal of imagining and creating a world where every Black person has the social, economic and political power to thrive. They can be found on my Etsy site- www.cottontailfarmva.etsy.com , they are $10 plus shipping. If you are not a yarn maker you can donate directly at the website, simply share this post, and most importantly listen to conversations and be willing to open your hearts and minds. ❤️. #standinthegap#blacklivesmatter#knittersofinstagram#knittersofravelry#crochetersofinstagram#knitting#grocerygirls#grocerygirlspodcast#knittingtools#knittinggauge#needlegauge

I know it’s expensive - but you just can not deny the quality and the beauty of this incredible yarn https://www.fabulousyarn.com/artyarns-merinocloud-703.shtml #artyarns#knittersofinstagram
Love everything about this latest knit shawl... just finished blocking... the colours, the drape, the softness and the super easy pattern... I alternated garter with stockinette stitch for some variety, but the pattern calls for only garter...
