A click from the webseries Made in Heaven. The series chronicles the lives of Tara and Karan, two wedding planners in Delhi running an agency named Made in Heaven. While Tara’s backstory is more straightforward, it’s Karan’s character that truly struck a chord with yours truly. A closeted gay man drowning in debt and personal conflicts, Karan’s identity is beyond the stereotypical gay men Indian filmmakers have often thrown at us. Vikrant plays the role of Karan's teenage love Nawab. His role is quite less but more.
Talking about his performance Even though he played a cameo in one of the episodes, his performance as Nawab Khan was promising.I wish he had more scenes in the series or he should have been a main character.. That would have been fabulous... But even in such a less screen time he didn't fail to amaze me with his performance. both him and Arjun were quite fearless portraying the roles.. They broke the stereotypes..I really feel like the entertainment industry is evolving day by day.. Earlier nobody really cared about exhibiting such characters and situations about the taboos in our society but now creators are trying to present the real picture of our society, yes these things do exist and it's okay to portray them and it's actually important to create awareness about these things and just kinda remove the awkwardness surrounding it... And just create an ease around the topic.. Cause nobody talks about sexuality openly.. And it should be normalised...such depiction of such things at a big platform be it Webseries or a daily soap for that matter really helps normalising diversity in sexuality.
And my favourite scene from the series was When Karan tells Nawab how he was assaulted in the jail by the police man... And how in that moment Nawab comforts him. All of that was just a treat to watch💕
