I am sure you all know by now that I love to explore new places. I keep searching for cities /towns/ villages nearby to check out. Of course we can't go far with E's oxygen situation. Well..we can but we don't as we need to order holiday oxygen in advance and it kills the spontaneity of the moment.
Anyways, a couple of weeks ago, while looking for such a place. I stumbled upon an article in @telegraph
regarding most beautiful English villages. That made me go hmmm. At number one was *drumrolls* #cotswolds
. Surprise surprise. I knew that was NOT anywhere near we live. So I moved to the second most beautiful village. It was Castleton. I silently said a prayer and quickly consulted Google. To my delight, according to Mr googly eyes, Castleton was located in a valley in peak district. I had been meaning to go there for some time now.
It was decided we would check that village out. SOON.
Peak district as a whole is stunning. It is an ammalmagation of steep limestone valleys, dark peaks and moorland. However, NOTHING could brace me for the beauty of this tiny village located in hope valley. The view took my breath away. It isn't plainly visible. The road winds down between the green hills and Boom when you are least expecting you come face to face with this extraordinary place.
It is a MUST see. It has everything for everyone. Paragliding, trekking, paths for walking and cycling. I can't wait to go back!
