Lately, I’ve been trying to be more mindful of how I’m spending my time with and around my children.
I was talking about it with my sisters the other day and remembered a study I’d read years ago about the benefits of children seeing their parents read. I wish so bad I could find the original study but, I remember the statistics were staggering; Especially when children witnessed both parents reading regularly throughout their lives.
In the last few years I’ve taken to listening to most of my books but, this conversation got me thinking and thus inspired my new goal: to read more PHYSICAL books.
I’m almost finished with this one and I got to tell you, it’s been NICE actually reading a real, turn the page BOOK again.
And now I’m reinvigorated for more!
So tell me, what was the best book you read this last year?
