As the start of Hong Kong’s protests began in June. The violence and aggression between the police and the Hong Kong people has significantly increased. The protests began after the people of Hong Kong wanted their government and political party members to have their own system that’s not connected and overpowered by the Chinese Government. Their city leader, Carrie Lam, agreed to suspend the extradition bill. However, the people of Hong Kong are searching for a transformation to become a fully democratic state, which has resulted in Hong Kong’s police to become more involved with controlling the protests that have been completely peaceful for the most part. Unfortunately at least 8 people have been killed with thousands injured. New reports claim that the violence has escalated. New information states that the police are now using live rounds at protestors who have increased their use of lethal weapons such as poles, petrol bombs, and other projectiles. Other major social platforms such as Blizzard, NBA, Starbucks, etc. have either stated their opinions on the protest or have been purposely picked by the Hong Kong protestors as a supporter of the Chinese Communist party in Beijing. What are your thoughts on the whole situation itself?
