This year for Valentine's Day, I made little hearts out of clay using their favorite colors, and then stamped them with their first initials. They're super cute! I wish I had a picture of all of them together. I made them for 2+ classes, so there were at least 50. For one of the classes (cuz I ran out of time), I also made embroidery floss bracelets in matching colors because, before I stopped working in that room, I'd been teaching them how to make bracelets and only one kid finished before I left. Plus, I was trying to figure out how to attach the hearts to the paper and then realized I could make them into beads! I hope that some of the kids wear them so they can look at their wrist (or backpack if they use it like a keychain) and think about what that little paper says: "When you're feeling sad or lonely, remember that you are good and you are loved." Sometimes, I wish someone would say that to me. Thank you, Papu for the printer so I could make it all at home; Jan for the clay molding tools; and Greyson for the assistance, company, and support. You are the biggest external factor keeping me from completely losing it this month. I am so grateful that I get to share my life with you 💙 and that you share yours with me!
