Review of Tandoor Restaurant, Candolim, Goa.
Ambiance: Set on the lower level of a two tier garden terrace, there is a simplicity about the Tandoor Restaurant, that underpins its charm. 4/5
Staff: Manveer, our waiter was a sweet, gentle guy. Service was excellent. 5/5
Drinks: There is no bar menu, but don't panic! The owner of Tandoor, also owns the liquor store on the top terrace. Orders are placed via waiter. This is a fantastic idea, as drinks are liquor store priced, with a small surcharge for drinking in. Have to be the cheapest drinks in Candolim.
Kingfisher large Rupees 100/£1.09
180ml bottle of Vodka Rupees 80/£0.87
Diet coke Rupees 60/£0:65. 5/5
Food: full Tandoori chicken Rupees 380/£4:13 I loved the addition of vegetables instead of slaw. Portions excellent. However, it was a tad dry, I think possibly it had been pre cooked which does make the chicken less juicy. Not as spicy as I like it but we'll worth its price. 4/5
Paneer Jalfrezi Rupees 190/£2:07 This was a massive portion of paneer. Not the traditional rich, spicy, tomato and onion gravy sauce, it was mild and creamy. Nevertheless, it was yummy. 5/5
Roti rupees 20/£0:22 Nice and light, just how I like them.
OVERALL SCORE: 4.6 Red Hot Chillies 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
