Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple! Wow, I have so much to say about this beautiful temple ! But first of all, you 'll have to know that to enter, you need to follow officialy the hindu religion, as so, I couldn't enter in it, but I wasn't sad, let me explain you why, see, this temple is following a beautiful tradition, man and woman need to be dressed up to get to the temple, dothy & sari. Not being able to enter offered me an other perspective of it and got me dreaming even more about all the tales I read. I sat there and watched, by the end of the day, the beauty of the dance of so many devotees coming and going in traditionnal clothes, it was just magical for my eyes and my soul. Also, you have to know that this temple have a LOT of amazing stories and tales ! This magnificent golden temple is one of the most famous in India. It is said that one of the biggest treasury is still sealed behind two massive doors protected by the snakes on it ! Magical... I told you! But thats not all ,The temple was originally built in 6th century A.D., and later beautified further by the Kings of Travancore after 10 centuries.
Way back in 2011, a retired officer filed a petition in the Supreme Court for taking stock of the temple unknown treasury.
six huge secret Kallaras or vaults were discovered in the temple which were named A, B, C, D, E and F.
The portals of Vault B remained locked despite all efforts made by the committee to open it. Of all the six vaults, the Bharatakkon Kallara or Chamber B is believed to be deeply rooted to God Padmanabhaswamy. What makes the chamber B impenetrable? Ages ago, the sages of high stature had locked the portals with Naga Paasam mantras (serpent noose) during the reign of King Marthanda Varma and it is said that only a sage or saint of high calibre is capable of removing the Naga Paasam by chanting Garuda mantra in a proper way.
These tales make my journey in India, magical 🧡 #iloveindia #incredibleindia
