**Vegan/ Vegetarian (airfryable) Punjabi Samosa** ••••••••••••••••••••••••
For the dough; combine 2 cups Plain flour, salt to taste (1/2 a teaspoon should do the trick), 1 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds or carom seeds, 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil (olive oil and coconut oil works too) and 1/2 a cup of water. Knead all these ingredients until a firm dough ball is created. ••••••••••••••••••••••••
For this simple filling combine; 3 boiled medium potatoes (peeled anddiced into small cubes, 1 medium red onion finely chopped, 2 green chillies finely chopped, 1 inch of ginger chopped, half a cup of boiled peas and one teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of;garam masala, black pepper, coriander powder and red chilli powder (and some chopped coriander optional) Mix these ingredients well. ••••••••••••••••••••••••
Roll out the dough into thin circles and cut them to create a semi circle which you create the samosa cone with. Add the filling once it has cooled downed and use a solution of plain flour and water as a glue for the samosa pastry to stick.
I decided to airfry these as a healthy alternative to deep frying, but I’m sure you can bake them. I mean they were pretty amazing for my first time ever making samosas 💪🏽🔥
That one time I did a play about some badass fighter women! Grateful that I met @kaimikuoha through that production, among some other incredible people! She’s a warrior! Miss you, woman!
