Dog Park thoughts 💭
Actively working towards a greater physical and mental wellbeing does not mean you should change your entire life over night. That kind of change is not sustainable and you will inevitably revert back to your old self.
Instead, focus on individual changes you can start implementing NOW. Beyond those specific things you choose, you can begin to add and grow as you get better at each change.
For me, there were several initial changes. To take out the excuse of time and training knowledge, I found a portal of programs that takes the guess work out, where I can press play and follow along in the comfort of my own home. It was supplementing nutrition pieces I was lacking to feel my best and have more energy. Today, it was spending my lunch taking the pups to the Dog Park and getting fresh air instead of diddling around on my phone. Every morning, it’s downing 16 oz of water to start my day off right along with 15 minutes of reading.
Yes, I still need to watch less TV, read more, eat more vegetables, drink more water, and all of the other things. But I know I’m making sustainable changes and can move on to the next phases when I see fit.
For you, pick one or two things to get started.
