There is a #misunderstanding from the international world that the #Extradition Law has already been withdrawn, and that the #government has #steppeddown. We have been receiving congratulations messages from #UnitedStates and #Australia. Although heart warming, your “congratulations” on the bull being withdrawn cannot be further away from the #truth.

The official statement made by the CE #CarrieLam, used the words “suspend indefinitely“. By #definition, to suspend indefinitely is to temporarily pause an action for a endless and or unknown period of time.
The Chinese words used, “暫緩”, merely means a TEMPORARY SLOWDOWN.

As you can see, the #translation between #Chinese and #English are two ends of the spectrum. The English release of Carrie Lam means to cease the bill, but the original work spoken by her is nothing of the sort.

The government is clearly playing #wordgames. Trying to hide their intention, hoping it would be lost in translation. Spreading a #different message to the English-speaking world. So that the rest of the world would falsely believe #HongKong is now safe from the bill, and would not pay as much #attention, keeping investor’s #money here in Hong Kong.

Furthermore, Hong Kong would definitely be one of the burning #questions waiting for #XiJinping in the upcoming G20 meeting. By #coolingdown the #protest, and falsely shape the situation that Hong Kong is now safe, Xi can face less diplomatic stress when China and US leader meet in G20.

We’re so touched that you care about HK democratic status. But we still haven’t won. The withdrawal of #Chinaextraditionlaw is further from success.
Please #spread the word, and let the whole world know we haven't achieved victory yet. Hong Kong is still under the siege from the extradition #bill.

We need #support and attention from everyone. To prevail against such oppression and tyranny that is the #CommunistParty of #China.
Pass this #message on so that we can have our city with #freedom back.

For everyone who lives in a free and democratic world where human rights are respected, people in Hong Kong need your support. We want to live without fearing to be arrested for "crimes" that we did not commit. We do not want to be prosecuted merely because of our political view. We want fair jurisdiction if we ever face any accusation, which is not possible in China we all know that there are no justice there. That's why Hong Kong people are protesting against the #ChinaExtraditionLaw! #HongKongProtest #SupportHongKong

This is how Hong Kong people being treated by the HK police in the protest against China Extradition law!
The protesters were only pushing forward without weapons on hand!
Shame on HK Police! Let the other parts of the world know what is happening!

Usually, this instagram shares coffee, spirits and wine. It merely talks things other than that.
However, It is now a critical moment of HK. The amendment of the extradition law would allow Chinese authorities to seek the extradition of any person in Hong Kong, regardless of nationality, wanted in China for serious criminal offences. It seriously destroys “One Country , Two Systems” implemented since the transfer of sovereignty over Hong Kong, it damages the independent role of Hong Kong. Also, the amendment of the law threatens the freedoms, dignity and even life of Hong Kong people. 2 days ago, over a million people in Hong Kong marched in protest against the proposed extradition bill put forward by the Hong Kong government.
However, the Hong Kong government still insists to pass the bill in a short period of time.
I hope that more foreign people will know about the situation of Hong Kong. Hong Kong needs foreign attention and support.

Demonstrators attend a protest to demand authorities scrap a proposed extradition bill with China, in Hong Kong, China June 9, 2019.
Hong Kong witnessed the largest protest since its 1997 handover to China on Sunday as huge crowds massed against plans to allow extraditions to the mainland, a proposal that has plunged the city’s pro-Beijing leaders into a crisis.
Organisers said more than a million people marched in blazing summer heat through the cramped streets of the financial hub’s main island in a noisy, colourful demonstration calling on the government to scrap its planned extradition law.
