In Santiago it’s been absolutely chaotic and hectic this last month. Since arriving here on Tuesday things have been insane, no go zones, violent protests, police brutality, lives lost, desperation and despair but thank goodness things have seemed to settle somewhat towards the end of this week.
Walking around the streets I see so much anger, destruction, frustration, downtrodden eyes, vandalism and brokenness and there’s also so much awful and hateful graffiti around. But today I finally found something positive so much so that it moved me and made me stop in my tracks and stare and smile. This signifies hope and hope for change. “Once you choose hope anything’s possible.” Christopher Reeve ~*. Stay safe Chile, stay hopeful.
