In order for us to get back to being able to host events we really need guidance on what the future looks like. Unfortunately the government and federal oversight organizations have been tight lipped on what that means and what the future of events/gatherings looks like. Every state is different and some are back to normal but here in California we are still in the dark about what the future really holds.
Wedding and event professions I don't know if it will do us any good but if you haven't already, send letters to your representatives, senators, governors, local officials, anyone that can help. In order for us to get back to work and in order for our clients to want to move forward with their events we need GUIDANCE. We need some sort of clue as to when and what events may look like when reopening happens.
We need to be able to give out clients guidance and clarity on what changes to expect, realistically. we need to be able to ease their minds of their investments that they have put into their events and our industry's well being. While I understand the need for restrictions the uncertainty is driving anxiety for our clients simply wishing to celebrate love and joy. Many of us are working with clients that are not looking at postponing weddings for a SECOND time and that is heartbreaking.
So what we need if some assurance and information from the California government that will provide us with some clarity and information to help guide our clients. So please as vendors lets ensure our business survive and our clients get the events they have been planning. Please Contact whoever you can and hopefully we can get more guidance on what to expect as the summer & fall progresses.
