One thing I’ve come to realize is that all forms of injustice or violence or the root of all the major problems we see in the world, come from a terrible mindset that really stems from fear— and this form of thinking eventually ripples to effect many people in the world and hurts everyone in some way. These messed up systems we have in place hurt everyone, and screw us all over in one way or another. We’ve all experienced pain and suffering in one way and at some point in our lives.
I’ve had to learn the hard way, that aggression fuels aggression, and I believe a way to end this cycle is through choosing to act with compassionate action and understanding. I’m starting to believe that it will be our very suffering that will unite us together, and that it will be the very thing that awakens us to our understanding and compassion to one another. To gain the courage to shed our fears and prejudice. A way of thinking outside of just “Me and mine,” considering others outside ourselves, that will result in lasting positive change we need in the world. Choosing to act on positive change for the well-being and benefit of everyone, everywhere, for all living things with no exceptions. As the Native Americans refer to as “All My Relations,” or the Buddhist call “All Beings,” or even on a scientific level to include our whole ecosystem, or our planetary family, as we’re all connected and there’s no way around that. I have hope for humanity to grow past our fears and prejudice and create lasting change for All. To eventually live together sustainably, peacefully, in a nonviolent world.
It is becoming my life’s work to help play a part in this, no matter how small. And I hope that you, too, will play a part in it, no matter how small. I honestly believe that we can create a better world, together.
So how can you help? How will you choose to show support? No matter how small, how can you be a force for the positive change in the world?
