Ali Pasha's mosque has stood in Sarajevo for hundreds of years, witnessing the ever-evolving story of the city and its people.
It is a remarkable work of historical architecture and, for many, a peaceful oasis in the middle of the city crowd.
Sirnica - Trial 7: This is the cheese version of Burek. Turks still would call it Börek but Balkans gotta do their thing. "Sir" in Serbo-croatian means "cheese" hence why this meal has its name. I consider it the queen to Burek. If you have a great chef in the kitchen making it for you, it can be difficult to decide which is better. Sirnica just hits a spot that Burek can't, and vice-versa. But when you got both on the same plate....bruh.
Anyways, this trial is a tough call. Aimed to make this the same way I made Burek-trial 8. But Sirnica is proving to be a completely different animal. It tasted good don't get me wrong but something wasn't there. The jufka also felt too soft and weirdly it collapsed on itself after cooling under the Aluminum foil. Gotta phone mom on this one and see what she thinks. Made too much filling so we'll go at it again tomorrow.
