Q: What’s the weather like where you live?
I’m in New Hampshire, near the coast of the Atlantic and and not far from Boston. We get it all - four seasons and both mild and wild weather. Snow storms, ice storms, thunder snow, heavy thunderstorms, extreme heat, extreme cold, tornadoes, hurricanes, and a good amount of humidity and sunshine. Today was 30 degrees while yesterday was 60! I love each season and my favorite month is May because it’s when spring is turning into summer, everything is lush green, flowers in bloom, days very long and warm nights. I’ll spend my evenings at the beach and watch the fireworks. Days spent in the garden, pressing flowers, writing poetry, and watching the little birds and honeybees go from flower to flower. The intoxicating scent of flowers - magnolia, jasmine and lilac - in the evening air. Mornings of heavy thunderstorms and mists. It’s heavenly to me. In the winter I spend more time indoors but still enjoy hikes in the woods, watching birds and even now, I have my window open for some night air which I consider healthy for the senses. Hobbies include knitting, writing, reading lots of books, crafting and being with loved ones. I appreciate the long nights for their sleep and nights full of dreams. A sense of calmness is in the winter night air, making it the best sleeping season.
