You guys, I feel like I did a major InstagramLie ™️ when I posted that super aesthetic photo about writing this book.
I just want to be super authentic in this moment and let you know that the aesthetics of that post couldn’t be farther from the truth.
☕️ I don’t have a handcrafted espresso drink in hand, but I do have my @sodastream
water bottle that currently just has flat, day old lime flavored water in it.
📸 I don’t have some cute polaroids on a desk to refer to during the writing process (why?), but I do have two cute dogs who keep putting their toys on my laptop to play.
👓 I don’t have glasses anymore (thanks #lasik
!) and I don’t have a nice clean iPad and work space. I have a couch littered with snack wrappers and crumbs and dog treat remnants that my partner vacuums away when I’m not looking!
Writing this book so far has not been glamorous. It’s been me in my pjs reading research articles, typing wildly, and neglecting my responsibilities at home and in my personal life.
It’s been me sitting between clients stressed about meeting deadlines and using all the coping tools I know to keep my shit in check.
Just wanted to share that #honestyhour
instead of fakin’ it for Instagram. Nearly halfway there! 💕
