Acropolis in Athens is over 2400 years old, and still standing.
This weekend, I lost my footing and fell, hard, right on my back.
I am not sure when I reached an age where a simple fall could make me feel so fragile, but it happened. The name “Acropolis” is derived from the Greek word AKRO, meaning high or extreme edge. I am 6 feet tall.
It was built for defensive purposes… I am mother, enough said.
It was also dedicated to the goddess Athena, goddess of wisdom, courage and warfare…
Perhaps instead of looking at my fall as weakness, I should attempt to look at myself as an indestructible citadel.
