It has been a very depressing time. Even though I hold dual citizenship (the other being British citizenship), but at the end of the day, I was born in #HongKong
, I can't tolerate seeing it go down the drain as pro- Beijing officials cannot wait to sell H.K. down the river.
The first time I participated in a social movement was #OccupyCentral #theumbrellamovement
in 2014, I only had just returned from the U.K. not long before. It was during OC, where along with many other protesters fighting for democracy, while facing pressures from the Mainland, that I began identifying myself as a #HongKonger
9th June was my proudest day as a Hongkonger, seeing hundreds, thousands and millions people coming out to protest against the "China #extraditionbill
. But then my heart went cold and broke with the police brutallity on the unarmed protesters that happened after. You have the police who had sworn to protect and serve, but clearly they now no longer protect and serve. Why have they become tools of oppression by the H.K government?
Hereby, I want to thank every press from all over the world (esp. Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Europe and the U.S) for reporting on our protests to the world to see. I also want to thank the many other supporters from around the world showing us their love and support, you have no idea how much it all means.
See you on 16th June, let's march on to save our home!!
