BEST VERSION OF YOU
10 ways to be the best version of yourself
1 Believe in yourself is step 1 and most important
2 Surround yourself with people who believe in you and support you positively ..build your feel good crew
3 Get a mentor -someone who has achieved what you would like and ask them for help
4 Be passionate about you and your dreams and goals
5 Practice gratitude ..list 5 -10 things that you are grateful for
6 Go for that self development course that you’ve been postponing ..because you are worth it
7 write a list of positive things about yourself and your “flaws” work on
8 Read a book , something inspirational from a leader and learn the wisdom they have to pass on to us
9 Be the person who helps others because it makes you feel happy not because you want something in return
10 Find a way to deal with stress and anger
Be it meditation, mindfulness , yoga , exercise , changing your diet to more healthy with shakes , green tea and listen to relaxing music
Practice these and let me know how you getting on
For me being the best version of yourself and believing in yourself is so important
A lot of the times we are not successful because we don’t believe in ourselves and we also let others get us down
Don’t give anyone else that power be used they seem to think they have the right to know it all
I’ve been fortunate to be surrounded by people who believed in me and yes you will always get those friends and family “the haters” that will be envious or troubled by your success ..that’s their issue ..be yourself because no one can tell you that you are doing it wrong ..
I continue to strive to be the best version of myself quotes#nelsonmandela#light#lightworkers#motivation#light#buckinghampalace#sukyomahikari#mariannewilliamson#sussexroyals#meghanmarkle#positivequotes#motivation#wellbeing#gurus#happiness
#nelsonmandela would have been 101 on July 18 2019. So I had to #repost this pic taken by Benny Gool on March 8 1995. (Thats me on the right, the only woman in the room.) We were covering President Mandela's visit to Woodlands Senior Secondary school in Mitchell's Plain and being two months pregnant, I ducked into the library to overcome a nausea spell. Suddenly President Mandela, his entourage, including the then education minister Sibusisu Bengu, the school principal and deputy, entered the library and I found myself witnessing an impromptu mini ceremony during which Mandela was handed a school tracksuit. He sportingly unwrapped it and donned the top. Then there was an awkward moment as he was handed the bottoms and as he hesitated I said: "C'mon Mr President, you have to drop your pants." And the entire room exploded with laughter... And Benny Gool, who captured the moment perfectly in non digital days, rushed back to the Cape Times newsroom and told everyone ... "Yvette told the president to drop his pants!" He didn't... But in true Madiba fashion he chuckled heartily and just shook his head - apparently at a loss for words. I like to think I rendered the iconic leader speechless. So long and thanks for all the gifts, magical man. #itoldthepresidenttodrophispants#marvellous#memory#southafrica#icon#president#dropyourpants

#Power — For 18 years of his 27 year prison sentence prisoner number 46664 spent most of his days in this 9ft x 9 ft cell with no running water, sleeping on the floor, with a bucket he had to wash out daily as his toilet, forced to do daily meaningless back breaking manual labor in a nearby rock quarry, with only 1 visitor allowed per year for 30 minutes bc he dared to stand up against a brutal apartheid regime. This cell was enough to break a man but instead #NelsonMandela chose to change the world from it. Several years ago I had the incredible honor and opportunity of touring the island prison off the coast of Cape Town with my wife listening to 1st hand accounts from a fellow prisoner of the brutality of the prison and the grace and the will of the incredible human being that was Nelson Mandela. #unbreakable#travel#civilrights
